Summary

No permit is needed to carry a concealed handgun in Kansas at 21 or older if you may lawfully possess a firearm. This has been the rule since July 1, 2015, and the statute has no residency condition. At 18 to 20, carrying a handgun concealed on your person is a crime unless you hold a Kansas provisional license (Kansas residents only) or a recognized out-of-state permit. Open carry without a license is allowed at 18 or older.
