Permitted: In Wyoming, consumer-grade (1.4G) fireworks — those sellable under 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1261, 21 U.S.C. Sec. 371 and 16 C.F.R. part 1507 — are the class counties may authorize or prohibit; where no county resolution or city ordinance bans them, they may be sold and used.

Fireworks beyond that consumer class may be discharged only as a supervised public display under a permit issued by the county or municipal governing body (W.S. 35-10-202, 35-10-203). Cities and towns may restrict specific types by ordinance, so check locally. (W.S. 35-10-201 through 35-10-208.)
