Conditional: Studded tires are legal in Utah only from October 15 through March 31, with studs no more than 0.050 inches.

Studded tires are legal in Utah only from October 15 through March 31, with studs no more than 0.050 inches. They're not allowed on vehicles over 9,000 pounds, except emergency and school vehicles. See Utah Code 41-6a-1636.
