Every Utah location charges at least 6.10% (4.70% state + 0.15% state Medicaid-expansion rate + 1.00% local option + 0.25% county option). Transit, highway, resort and similar local add-ons raise the combined rate in many cities, so it varies by location - see the Tax Commission rate charts. Unprepared grocery food is taxed at a reduced 3.0% rate statewide instead.
