  • North DakotaConditional

North Dakota sports betting is legal only through tribal casinos — no statewide online/mobile. Wagering is in person under state-tribal compacts; the 2022 compacts also allow mobile wagering within reservation boundaries. Constitution bars most expansion; Jan 2026 HCR 3002 (statewide mobile) failed. Age typically 21 at tribal venues — rules vary by tribal compact, so confirm before wagering.

  • South DakotaConditional

South Dakota sports betting is legal but in-person only — no statewide online/mobile — and you must be 21+. Wagers must be placed at Deadwood commercial casinos and authorized tribal casinos. A constitutional amendment for online betting (SJR 504) advanced toward a possible Nov 2026 ballot.

  • WisconsinConditional

Wisconsin sports betting is legal only at tribal casinos — statewide online is signed into law but not yet live. Tribal casinos and on-reservation apps operate under compacts. Gov. Evers signed AB 601 as 2025 Wisconsin Act 247 (Apr 9, 2026) to authorize statewide online, but new compacts are needed first. Age 21 (varies by tribe).
