Daily fantasy sports is legal in Arizona, but the minimum age is 21 — unusually, entry fees are barred under 21. Regulated by the AZ Dept. of Gaming (licensed operators).

  • KansasConditional

Kansas exempts qualifying traditional daily fantasy sports but does not affirmatively license it. K.S.A. 21-6403 excludes a qualifying fantasy sports league from the definition of a bet but sets no minimum age, and no Kansas statute fixes one, so operators set their own - check the operator's terms. In 2023 the KRGC sent cease-and-desist letters to six "pick'em" operators.

  • Daily fantasy sports operates in Nebraska without a formal state license. No Nebraska statute fixes a minimum age for fantasy contests - Neb. Rev. Stat. 28-1101 defines gambling without mentioning fantasy contests and sets no age - so operators set their own age; check the operator's terms. It is a legal gray area and Nebraska has no official authorization page for fantasy contests - confirm before relying on this.

  • New MexicoConditional

New Mexico has no law authorizing daily fantasy sports and the legal status is unsettled. In Attorney General Opinion 2025-17 (December 23, 2025), issued at the Gaming Control Board's request, the AG said he cannot categorically conclude that online DFS contests are legal under current New Mexico law, and that whether a given contest is skill or chance is a fact question he cannot resolve. Major DFS apps operate in the state; the AG has asked the Legislature to settle it.

  • Paid daily fantasy sports operates in Oklahoma in a legal gray area, not a separately licensed category. Oklahoma has no dedicated official page for daily fantasy sports — confirm before relying on this.

  • UtahRestricted

Utah effectively bans paid daily fantasy sports — it is treated as illegal gambling, with no carve-out. HB243 (2026) expanded the gambling definition — confirm current enforcement before relying on this.
