Georgia statewide rule

Consumer fireworks are legal to buy and use statewide in Georgia (legal since July 1, 2015), but only within set hours. Use is allowed any day from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and until 11:59 p.m. where no local noise ordinance prohibits it; on January 1, July 3, July 4 and December 31 use is allowed until 11:59 p.m., and until 1:00 a.m. on January 1 (O.C.G.A. § 25-10-2). A county or city may also ban use within 200 yards of a facility housing equines (HB 614, eff. July 1, 2025), and causing injury or property damage with fireworks is a separate offense (SB 417, 2024).
