Wyoming Cannabis Possession Limits (2026)
Restricted: Marijuana is illegal to possess in Wyoming in any form.
Marijuana is illegal to possess in Wyoming in any form. Up to 3 ounces in plant form is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 12 months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 — but the misdemeanor limits are far lower for other forms: three-tenths of a gram in liquid form and 3 grams in powder, crystal, pill, or capsule form, and the weight counts the whole product, not just the THC. Possessing more than those amounts is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and a third or subsequent possession conviction brings up to 5 years and a $5,000 fine even for small amounts. See Wyo. Stat. § 35-7-1031(c) and (d).
