  • ColoradoPermitted

In Colorado, groceries and convenience stores sell full-strength beer (since 2019) and wine (since March 2023), but the standard grocery license does not permit spirits. A grocery store that also runs a pharmacy can hold a liquor-licensed drugstore license, and those stores do sell spirits. No new grocery liquor licenses are being issued (SB25-033).

  • NevadaPermitted

In Nevada, groceries and convenience stores sell all three — beer, wine and spirits — because Nevada's retail liquor store definition carries no product-class or store-type limit, though hours are set locally. State law sets no closing hour, but NRS 369.190 and 369.320 leave licensing and hours to counties and cities, so 24-hour availability is the norm in Clark and Washoe rather than a statewide guarantee. Expect local variation elsewhere.

  • UtahConditional

In Utah, groceries and convenience stores may sell only beer between 0.5% and 5.0% alcohol by volume (ABV). Packaged liquor, wine, flavored malt beverages and heavy beer above 5.0% ABV require a state DABS liquor store or one of more than 130 package agencies.
